First of all I would like to say thanks and extend a warm welcome for checking out my blog. I am a Full-Day Kindergarten teacher and I am very excited to work
with our earliest learners after being a Grade 4/5 teacher for the past year.
Having taught as an occasional teacher before
landing a permanent position, I have had the opportunity to work in many
different classrooms and grades across the elementary spectrum, but have found
the innocence and natural curiosity of this age group of learners to be such a
dynamic and exciting area to work with.
With regards to Full-Day Kindergarten (FDK), there is still
so much for all of us to learn, but I know that my partner in crime (aka Mrs.
Corner our amazing Designated Early Childhood Educator) and I will strive to
meet the needs of our students and provide them with the best learning
opportunities on a daily basis. With that in mind, we hope to incorporate
various types of technology into our classroom as often as possible not only to
support our program by enriching student learning and through encouraging
students to document their success, but to help students become 21st
century thinkers, learners and explorers. I hope to share as much of our
inquiry-based learning program with you as possible to encourage and inspire
you to think outside the box when it comes to FDK learning.
