Who is Monty you ask??? Monty is a reindeer who thought he was a moose upon arrival to our classroom.

Little did he know, but was quickly informed...moose are much bigger than he is and they don't tend to wear a scarf and mittens! With that sorted, Monty the reindeer (clearly because of his size and the fact that he arrived dressed for cold weather way up North where Santa is!) has set up shop in our classroom to learn all about what we do in Kindergarten.
During the month of December, Monty will be staying with us and observing us so he can tell all of the 'moose'...pardon us...reindeer...back in Finland about his adventures in our room. Similar to Elf on the Shelf, as noted by a few students, Monty must have some sort of magic power within him because we have found him in different locations everyday when we arrive at school!

So far, Monty has learned the art of napping, which we don't do, but we thought his bird might have been low from travelling. Monty has also found his way to our car bin and discovered what they are all about! Each day, we have been writing and mailing Monty letters to explain what we do wherever we find him and he writes us back with questions if he's not sure.
Stay tuned...who knows where Monty will turn up next!
