Happy 100th Day!

Can you believe the 100th Day of School has already come and gone? We had a wonderful day starting off with us donning our crowns that we decorated the day before with the help of a parent volunteer.

From there, we read a story about the 100th Day of School...Miss Bindergarten Gets Ready for the 100th Day of School, and then took part in some cool activities. Mrs. C brought in some very healthy fruit and we created our own tasty fruit kebabs to help us refuel and top up our inner birds energy levels so we would be ready for the following day ahead.
We also made some cool patterns with coloured pasta and drew 100's
Day inspired journals. While all of this was going on, we also started making our special 100th Day lunch...hotdogs and pancakes. During our class discussion about fun things we could do on the 100th Day of School, we came across a special breakfast that some other kids were enjoying during our Google search. We thought this was such a great idea that we wrote home to our parents asking if we could do this at school. It was a blast helping Mrs. C scoop the batter that Ms. B made for us and yum, yum! Did it ever taste good when we finally got to eat!

In the afternoon, we each counted out the 100 things we brought in to share to practice our counting and to make sure we didn't sneak a few extras in there to eat along the way! Once we had all counted our 100 things, we created a giant batch of 100's Day Mix and shared it after we came in from our second recess.
What a great day! We can't wait to see what the rest of the year has in store for us seeing as we are now 100 days smarter than we were when we arrived in September :)
