November Morning Trail Walk

This morning on the way to work, we heard the weather report and it mentioned that it would more than likely rain during the afternoon. Quick thinking had us deciding to have our first Fall 'flip flop' day where we turn our regular schedule upside down and do things from the end of the day to the beginning of the day.

We decided that since it was only an overcast morning, as stated by the Weather Channel, that we would head out on the Trans Canada Trail and go on a morning adventure rather than an afternoon adventure.

With everyone ready to head out, we made our way down the Trail and came across lots of milkweed
plants that were either getting ready to explode their seeds or had already done so. This was so cool to see. AG and CS had fun getting a closer look at this happening and thought it was really neat how, 'that little piece of fluff can carry that seed'.

Some of us even did a little `off-trail` exploring where we were able to check out some of the areas that weren`t regularly used for people using the Trail. On this part of our adventure, we came across a lot if weeds ready to spread their seeds as well as a giant ant hill! It was SO big and had SO many ants crawling on it.

Even though we only made as far as the `humongous water pipe`, we had a great time exploring and be out in the Fall weather. We also realized that having a `flip flop` day was a good idea, because just as second recess began, so did the rain!
