We also got to watch different staff members, including Mrs. Jordan our principal, get pudding and pies thrown at them at the Citrus Fundraiser Assembly. The JCPS Parent Council thought this would be a good way to encourage people to sell citrus to raise money for the school and were they ever right! So many cougars took part in this assembly and were able to 'cream' some of their own teachers!
In addition to the Citrus Fundraiser Assembly, the class got to go to daily carol sing where the entire school got together and sang Christmas carols. Being with the whole school was so much fun and made us all feel like one gigantic family.
With all that fun taking place all week long, we thought it would be nice to spend the last part of the day together as a class enjoying the student-selected movies Elf on the Shelf and Rudolph the Red-nosed Reindeer. It was so fun watching Elf on the Shelf in the morning before we went to the gym and then Rudolph the Red-nosed Reindeer at the very end of the day. Mrs. Ridgway even made popcorn for us to enjoy along with our special treats we brought in from home.
What a busy, festive week we had! We even snuck in some time to make our own video of us all singing We Wish You a Merry Christmas to our families for them to enjoy.
