Terry Fox Run a SUCCESS

On September 26th, we headed outside as a class and school to honour a Canadian hero, Terry Fox. After an informative discussion about what cancer is, who Terry Fox was and a lot of questions about him running, we took part in the JCPS Terry Fox Run.

The class had a great time doing the Run with their fellow Kindergarten friends from Room 15, the Grades 1-3 classes and lots of family and friends.
We are happy to report that every student completed at least 2 laps (which is a lot for some of our little legs!) and most of us did many more than that. In the words of one student, "I felt like I went around a hundred times already!" with a smile on his face.
At the end of the day, we know there were lots of tired feet, but it was all worth it as we supported a great cause and did our best to help eradicate cancer.
