Firefighter Stewart Visits Room 12

This week, we had a parent volunteer his time to share about his career as a fire fighter with the Lindsay Station for the City of Kawartha Lakes. It was so cool to see Mr. Stewart dressed in all his gear and to hear first hand about what it is like to be a fire fighter.

Mr. Stewart also answered all of the questions we had for him and reminded us to be calm, in control and to remember to pick up our toys so fire fighters don't trip over them if they ever need to come in our house to help us!

In addition to all of this, Mr. Stewart even let us try and lift his air tank, check out his mask and showed us how to make our boots and snow pants just like his. We surprised him though because many of us already knew to do this to help us get outside as fast as we can for recess! Maybe there are some future fire fighters amongst us!

Thanks again to Mr. Stewart for giving up his time to come in and share with us! AWESOME!
